Get Involved
There are lots of different ways you can get involved with our work and other local environmental projects
Volunteer
Volunteers provide a vital community service. Donating your time and effort is tremendously valuable and helps us accomplish so much. Your dedication underpins our work and provides so much of our knowledge of Guernsey's wildlife.
Citizen Science / Projects
We have our own projects and support other organisations with their work. You can get involved with one off events, like a BioBlitz or take part in long-term surveying as part of one of our projects.
Jobs / Vacancies
We have no current job vacancies.
From time to time, we may advertise temporary roles for projects, field work and intern positions. These roles may be paid or filled on a voluntary basis. This will be specified in the job information.
Local Groups
Want to get involved but unsure where to start?
There are lots of local environmental groups. La Société covers nature, history and science. Each Section of La Société has a particular interest.
Other organisations have a specific environmental or conservation goal, like the Pollinator Project.
If you represent a local group and we have not included your organisation on our groups page, please contact us.
Internships
If you're studying biological and ecological subjects at University, we can provide internships in line with your course and University requirements.
We host a limited number of placements each year. Please email us for further information.
Work Experience
We are not taking part in Work Experience Week 2023 ( 5 - 9th June) and will not be hosting a student. Hopefully we will be take part in 2024
All work placements are organised through Guernsey Work Experience (GWEx) team.
